A Walk at Heritage Rail Trail Park!
Monday, December 1, 2014 was an especially nice day for a walk. The temperature passed 64 degrees. High of 33 and Ice pellets in the forecast for December 2, tomorrow!
I drove to the Glatfelters Station Rd Parking lot and walked North toward York. During the first half of the walk it, was mostly bicycle riders traveling South. When I got up closer to the 16 mile marker, pedestrian and K9 traffic picked up.
The Howard Tunnel was named after John Eager Howard who was a Governor of Maryland and at one time a colonel in the Continental Army of the American Revolutionary War. He owned a great deal of land that is now a big part of Baltimore Maryland. Howard County gets its name from this former colonel, Maryland Governor and State Senator!
