Snake on the Heritage Rail Trail – York County – Pennsylvania

Snake on the Heritage Rail Trail

slithering along at the 14 mile marker.

This was a June 23, 2015 walk.

It started at the Gladfelter Station Parking Lot and went down the the 13 and  North past the 14 mile marker.

This black snake was encountered on the return at the 14 mile marker.

Interestingly a small tree limb with leaves fell to the trail and blew off to the West side of the trail.

The snake not knowing any better, chased after the limb and disappeared into the brush!

It was a Hot 91 degree walk. There were plenty of people riding bicycles.

I did not encounter other walkers.
