Codorus State Park – View of Nature

Codorus State Park – Mary Ann Furnace Trail

View of Nature from the Observation Deck along the Mary Ann Furnace Trail.

While hiking this trail in Southern York County, Pennsylvania, I snapped this image from the observation deck. This is a July 26, 2014 image. Earlier in the summer the water level is higher and the water surface is much closer to the deck. Ducks, turtles, geese, various flowers etc. may be seen from this deck. The Mary Ann Furnace Trail splits, one side hugging Lake Marburg, the other tracking higher near trees, fields etc. I usually approach the trail from an entrance along Black Rock Road. There is also an entrance for those who use the Campground at Codorus State Park.
