Field Day Visit to the – Aero Amateur Radio Club\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

On\u00a0 Sunday June 24 2018 I went to the Essex Skypark to visit the field day activities.<\/p>\n

Joe Miko WB3FMT graciously showed me around the clubs field day operations.<\/p>\n

They had a Carolina windom,\u00a0 20 meter beam, a G5RV, an hf vertical a VHF\/UHF vertical and a 40 meter dipole in their operations.<\/p>\n

They wanted to have an 80 meter dipole in operation but the added length would have put one antenna too close to powerlines.<\/p>\n

A generator was being used to power their radio gear.<\/p>\n
