I started by working my way down to the 0 mile marker (Ashland) and walked backup the trail past the 1.5 mile marker. The trail was fairly busy. There were people fishing, walkers, bikers, and folks pushing babies in strollers!<\/p>\n<p>The image below shows some of the walkers and bikers.<\/p>\n<p>At one time there were railroad tracks that occupied this trail.<\/p>\n<p>According to an article in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baltimoresun.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Baltimore Sun<\/a>, Dated February 3, 1923, .. &#8220;last night a freight train and an engine were in a head on collision&#8221; \u00a0.. &#8220;four freight cars were wrecked and a number of hogs were killed.&#8221;. The incident left many commuters stranded! ..&#8221;Many hogs escape&#8221;.
