While cruising around Prettyboy Reservoir, these two Turtles were observed taking in the Sun. These creatures were out on a limb in the Schoolhouse Cove area of the reservoir.

I have often seen many ducks cruising these same waters!

Last year the Prettyboy Reservoir waters were absolutely full of Carp! This area where the turtles are was especially popular. One could look down at the water and see loads of fish grinding away!

As I write this article, I am reminded of an outdoors writer who wrote for a long time for the Baltimore Sun. His name was Bill Burton and I remember reading his articles about the outdoors, including the Prettyboy Reservoir. There is a State Park in Maryland dedicated to Bill Burton. Check it out!. Its been a long time since I have read his articles. I still miss his writing!
