The Freeland, Maryland parking lot is located off of Freeland Road. From a trail perspective it is at the Maryland 18.5 mile marker. The Mason Dixon line is at the Maryland 19.83 mile marker and Pennsylvania 0 mile marker. This walk took me up past the municipal parking lot in New Freedom, Pennsylvania. Round trip was a little over 5 miles. The stretch from the Mason Dixon Line to the Pennsylvania 1 Mile marker is a steeper climb. The 1 mile marker is at the Summit.
