Dual Band VHF UHF Amateur Radio – Mobile

For this page are 2 Meter 144 mhz radios that also have 70 cm 440 mhz. Usually they are FM rigs.

Some may receive more than just the amateur part of the bandsl They may well receive NOAA Weather radio.

Sometimes when the bands are silent I will do a quick switch to NOAA just to verify/sanity check the rig is working.

Here are some rigs to look at and consider! Pay attention to brackets, cables, software and other extras you may need!

In The US, one needs an Amateur Radio License to operate the above radios.

A minimum of a Technician License is needed to be a qualified operator!

Purchasing this book and studying can help you get there.
