This was a nice day (December 19, 2012) for a walk on the trail .

Gray skies with temperatures in the upper 40’s.

It is about 2 miles from the Brillhart Station down to the 15 mile marker

The mile marker is on the South Side of the Howard Tunnel!

There is a nice parking lot at the Brillhart Station!

There were few people seen on the trail during this walk!

This was a nice way to spend couple hours of vacation time.

There are benches and picnic tables along the trail.

Bicycle Riders, Horse Riders, Walkers and Joggers frequent the trail!

This creature was observed along side the NCR Trail North of the Howard Tunnel.
The missing paw does not seem to slow this creature down.
This squirrel did paws or is that pause, long enough for a digital image.
There was not much conversation out of the squirrel.
This isn’t the only Squirrel along the Heritage Rail Trail.
Get out and enjoy the trail. Check out the other wildlife along the way!
