NCR Trail – Raven in Tree

NCR Trail – Raven in Tree

Sometimes the wildlife I see on the trail is not what I expected. Here is a prime example of a Raven (well OK, a hat) resting on the branch of a tree!

This bird seemed to have no fear. It was there when I approached and still there as I left to finish my walk!

This Raven was observed along the trail just South of Hunter Road (10 mile marker area) in White Hall.

It is not uncommon to find lost items along the trail. Sometimes people put lost items on a fence post or a bench near a parking lot. Sometimes they put lost items on a tree (perhaps in this situation). If you have lost something or find something on the trail, call 410-329-6809 to reach the park staff (Maryland Park Service).

On this trip, I parked at the White Hall Parking Lot (South of the 11 Mile Marker) and walked down to the 8 Mile Marker and back.

A nice area along the Little Falls and NCR Trail with a number of bridges!
