Glatfelter Station – Heritage Rail Trail Park
is a bit further North and off to the East (via side access driveway) of the trail from the 13 mile marker.
The parking lot is clean, has a portable restroom, and a map board!
Further up the trail at the 15 (2 miles from the 13), is the Howard Tunnel.
On this particular walk, I started at Glatfelter Station and worked my way South to the 10.8 mile mark.
Along the way, there was a tree down across the trail and tracks at the 11.9 mile mark.
On my return from the 10.8, a crew had just arrived and was going to take care of the tree.
This was a nice walk.
Temperature was in the low 60’s, vegetation was exhibiting Spring colors and people were getting good use out of the trail.
Both Ducks and Geese were visible at various points of the fields and streams off to the West side of the trail.
This image was taken as this walk was in it’s final stage!
