Chesapeake and Delaware Canal in the Chesapeake City area of Maryland

Chesapeake and Delaware Canal as seen from Chesapeake City. The North side of the Canal is in the background! This image was taken the morning of September 10, 2016.

The city was very quiet and many businesses appeared closed at this time of day (10:25 AM).

The walk was pleasant. There are plaques along the way to catch up on the history of the city and the canal!

There were fishing boats moving up and down the canal at the time of this visit.

Another view of the canal and the Chesapeake City Bridge is available in print form at http://donaldc-morgan.pixels.com/.

If you have a chance, check out the C&D Museum, the Chesapeake City Historical District, the many views around the city and the fine restaurants. The city is home of the Bayard House, Bohemia Cafe, Canal Creamery and the Tap Room!
